We make sure menstrual justice is front and center on this day. Our coalition members often run special fundraising drives on GivingTuesday\, or join the big social media push (#GivingTuesday). In Africa\, we collaborate with GivingTuesday country teams to shine a spotlight on period causes. It’s a powerful day to donate\, volunteer\, or start a conversation about periods\, knowing we’re part of a massive global wave of good. DESCRIPTION:Late November (around GivingTuesday): Coming 2025! \nWe are excited to announce that we’re establishing an official PeriodGiving Day\, likely the Tuesday before or after global GivingTuesday (which falls late November). This will be our very own day of generosity and solidarity in the menstrual health space . Think of it as a celebration of all acts of period giving throughout the year. On PeriodGiving Day\, we’ll release our PeriodGiving Annual Magazine highlighting inspiring #PeriodGivers\, share year-end impact data\, and encourage a final push of donations and acts of kindness as the year closes . Stay tuned for the exact date and how you can participate – whether by hosting an event\, sharing your story\, or simply doing something kind for a menstruator on that day. This will be a milestone event for our collective – we’d love you to be a part of the first-ever PeriodGiving Day! We celebrate stories like that of Andrea in Uganda\, who\, after receiving support\, hasn’t missed a day of school . On this day\, consider sponsoring a girl’s yearly supply of pads or writing an encouraging letter to a girl in your community.

DESCRIPTION:This is a global day for menstrual health awareness\, and we go all out! On Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day)\, we organize community workshops\, donation drives\, and online education campaigns. Think of it as our movement’s big day to educate and engage. Whether it’s a school seminar in Nairobi or a radio talk in Lagos\, all our activities on May 28 aim to ensure “menstrual hygiene for all.” Keep an eye out for our MH Day Toolkit (we release one each year with ideas and social media graphics). DESCRIPTION:We leverage IWD to spotlight menstrual equity as a key part of gender equality. Each year on March 8\, our collective runs the #PeriodGiving on IWD campaign. We share stories of women helping women\, and encourage supporters to do one generous act for menstrual justice on this day. (Example: In 2025\, our partner AFRIpads is hosting a Women’s Day event and factory tour in Uganda\, celebrating women who produce affordable pads for their communities.)
