Join Us for Key Moments Throughout the Year
Our movement is active 365 days a year, but we rally together for key moments to make our collective voice impossible to ignore. Join us for campaigns, events, and global days of action.
PeriodGiving Day
PeriodGiving Day is our collective’s biggest annual moment. It’s a day when we celebrate the generosity that powers our work, share our impact, and mobilize thousands of people to take action for menstrual justice.1 It’s a global celebration of community, dignity, and solidarity. We flood social media with #PeriodGiving stories, host hundreds of local events, and launch major fundraising and advocacy pushes. It’s a day to show the world the unstoppable power of our collective generosity.
Your PeriodGiving Day Checklist

Our Year-Round Calendar of Action & Initiatives
Menstrual justice is connected to many global movements. Here’s how we plug in throughout the year:
Year-Round Initiative
Our commitment doesn’t stop after the big days. Here are ongoing campaigns and projects that run throughout the year – jump in anytime:
We collect and share powerful personal stories all year, not just on special days. Our “How I #PeriodGive” story series highlights individuals and groups making a difference (see the Stories & Media page). By publishing these stories on our blog, social media, and newsletters, we keep menstrual equity in the conversation year-round. Everyone is invited to contribute – share your story of generosity or gratitude related to periods, and we might feature it! This ongoing campaign builds momentum and a sense of community: you realize that whether in a village in Uganda or a city in South Africa, there are others period-giving alongside you.
“How to #PeriodGive”: We’ve launched a vibrant, bold podcast series (Season One out now!) that shines a light on the many faces of this movement . Each episode brings you voices from the field – activists, community champions, everyday givers – sharing how they #PeriodGive, from small acts of care to big systemic changes . Themes span local innovation, dignity-centered design, art and storytelling, feminist leadership, and more. Tune in to hear stories like a father in Nigeria raising funds for his daughter’s school pads, or a rural nurse in Kenya teaching girls to make pads from local cloth . The podcast is our love letter to the movement and a great way to learn and feel connected. New episodes drop weekly. Listen now or on your favorite podcast platform (Spotify, Apple, etc.), and if you love it, leave a review to help more people find us!
Each year, we compile an inspirational magazine (print and digital) showcasing at least 30 inspiring #PeriodGivers, from grassroots volunteers to influential advocates. The magazine features personal profiles, photos, and insights – a yearbook of kindness in the menstrual justice world. We aim to release this around PeriodGiving Day/GivingTuesday as a celebration of what’s been achieved and what’s to come. It’s also a tool to spread awareness: share it with friends, schools, policymakers to say “Look, this is what generosity is doing!” We are currently working on our inaugural edition. (Want to be featured or nominate someone? Keep an eye out for our call for submissions, or drop us a note via contact – we believe unsung heroes deserve the spotlight.)
Behind the scenes, we’re continuously expanding the collective. We host periodic webinars, virtual meetups, and training sessions for our coalition members (and interested newcomers). These might not always be public events, but they result in better campaigns on the ground. For instance, we had a PeriodGiving Webinar where activists across Africa exchanged ideas and planned joint actions. We also share toolkits like the PeriodGiving Coalition Toolkit to help new groups start their own local chapter or campaign. If you represent an organization or informal group and want to join forces, our FAQ section can guide you on how to sign up.
Get Involved or Suggest an Event
If you have an idea for a campaign or want to host a PeriodGiving event in your area, we’re all ears! Maybe a hackathon to design better period products? A charity run to raise funds for pads? A cross-country online panel on menstrual health? Let’s make it happen together.
Reach out via our Contact Us and we can help promote it or provide resources. This movement is collaborative by nature – many of our best events started with someone like you saying, “I have an idea.”
Host an Action in Your Community
You don’t have to wait for a global holiday to make a difference. Any day is a good day to #PeriodGive. Use our resources to host a pad drive, educational workshop, or storytelling circle whenever it works for you and your community.
