March 8 – International Women’s Day

We leverage IWD to spotlight menstrual equity as a key part of gender equality. Each year on March 8, our collective runs the #PeriodGiving on IWD campaign. We share stories of women helping women, and encourage supporters to do one generous act for menstrual justice on this day. (Example: In 2025, our partner AFRIpads is hosting a Women’s Day event and factory tour in Uganda, celebrating women who produce affordable pads for their communities.) Join us online with our hashtags, or host a local IWD PeriodGiving meetup to get people talking about periods and women’s rights.
