October 11 – International Day of the Girl Child

We can’t miss this one. On Oct 11, we focus on the empowerment of girls. Our coalition members often use this day to distribute pads at schools and host inspirational talks for girls. We celebrate stories like that of Andrea in Uganda, who, after receiving support, hasn’t missed a day of school . On this day, consider sponsoring a girl’s yearly supply of pads or writing an encouraging letter to a girl in your community.
